"God the Creator" — the seventieth angel of the seventy-two-fold Name, governing transmutation, healing, and the turning of endings into beginnings.
Jabamiah's name is built from three Hebrew letters — Yod, Beth, and Mem — following the pattern by which each of the seventy-two Shem HaMephorash angels derives from a triplet drawn out of Exodus 14:19–21.
The name is traditionally rendered "God the Creator" or "God Who Brings Forth All Things," and pronounced as the mantra Yoh-Beh-Meh. Some sources list her also as Yabamiah, an alternate transliteration of the same triplet.
The Shem HaMephorash — "the Explicit Name" — is a Kabbalistic structure of seventy-two three-letter divine names drawn from three consecutive verses of Exodus, each containing seventy-two Hebrew letters. Each triplet was, in later tradition, associated with an angelic intelligence. Jabamiah holds the seventieth position in this sequence, between Rochel (69th) and Haiaiel (71st).
She is placed within the Choir of Angels associated with the sephirah Yesod, under the rulership of Archangel Gabriel — a governance shared by several angels toward the end of the seventy-two-fold sequence.

Jabamiah is one of the few Shem HaMephorash angels without a Psalm verse traditionally assigned to her name. In its place, practitioners commonly invoke her with the opening line of Genesis — a verse whose theme of creation echoes her own name and function.
